Cow Field in the Moon Light

Here’s another night scene I photographed in rural Bedford County the other night. The moon was so bright it lit the field up as though it were day. This is a 30 second exposure, the cows were amazingly still 🙂

January’s “New Spot” – Poole Knobs Recreation Area on Percy Priest Lake

So this year I’ve decided that I’m going to start a monthly challenge for myself. I find that when I get out to take photos I often head to the locations that I’m familiar with. This year, I’m going to attempt to get to at least one new-to-me location every month. I’m hoping this helps me to find many more great places to shoot in middle Tennessee.

 

January’s “New Spot” was Poole Knobs Recreation Area. Less than 30 minutes from my house, I can’t believe I’ve never been there. It’s an absolutely beautiful spot and perfect for sunrise photography. There was tons of drift wood and rocks lining the shore of Percy Priest Lake, something you don’t get at the lake I usually shoot – Radnor Lake.

2011 Portraits, People and Events

2011 brought me many new opportunities to photograph people, something I didn’t do a lot of in 2010. It started December 31st, 2010 with a beautiful wedding. I went on to shoot a couple parties, several engagement sessions, 3 weddings in September, many family sessions and even a few newborn shoots!

 

If I posted all of the photos from these sessions that I really liked there would be hundreds! The easiest way to share them is to share this short video I made.
Thank you to all of my clients for helping to make 2011 extra special! I hope to see you all again in 2012!

MTSU Vollyball – 9/2/11

More action for you today! I was able to shoot at the MTSU Blue Raiders vollyball game last Friday as they took on East Tennessee State University. The Fant Family – Portrait Session

Tim and Paige – Portrait Session
